The College of Idaho was established in 1891 by Dr. Rev. William Judson Boone, in Caldwell. The first classes were attended by nineteen students at the Caldwell Presbyterian Church. The college moved to its current location in 1910 after 20 acres of land was donated to the school. The college was named Albertson College of Idaho, between 1991 and 2007, to honor benefactors Joe and Kathryn Albertson, founders of the supermarket store Albertsons.
Students attending the college have a choice to pursue their degrees in one of 43 majors and 37 minors, including English, Biology, Psychology, Business, History and Political Economy. While in southwest Idaho, visit the campus for a tour and learn more about this wonderful college.
