Evel Knievel Jump Site

See some real American history in Idaho. The Evel Knievel Jump Site, located west of Twin Falls, is the spot where motorcycle daredevil and American patriot Evil Knievel attempted to jump across the Snake River Canyon. On September 8, 1974, Knievel failed to jump across the 500-foot-deep canyon because of a malfunction with his parachute, but only suffered a broken nose.

Visitors to the jump site today, can still see the earthen ramp on the Snake River Canyon rim, where he attempted the jump. Although Knievel died from an extended illness in 2007, his legacy lives on in the Twin Falls area. Explore the Minidoka National Historic Site

Set in the Snake River Plain, the Minidoka National Historic Site is located in southern Idaho near Twin Falls in Jerome.

Found on the banks of the Snake River, the site commemorates the Japanese-Americans forced to reside there during World War II.

Managed by the National Park Service and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 200-acre site features self-guided tours of the Minidoka War Relocation Center remains. Exhibits are located at the nearby Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument Visitor Center.

Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs

Found along US Highway 93, Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs is located in Hollister in southern Idaho – just south of Twin Falls. Meaning “Magic Mineral Water,” the Nat-Soo-Pah park features swimming and soaking in artesian spring water,

A popular summer vacation spot, Nat-Soo-Pah is open from May 1st through to Labor Day. The park offers large, naturally heated swimming pool, and the 104-degree Hot Soak Pool.

Shoshone Falls
