Coeur d'Alene is a spring traveler’s paradise. Enjoy Idaho’s outdoor weather with Music Walk, a cultural event happening every fourth Friday from January through April. Explore downtown Coeur d'Alene’s many restaurants, galleries and boutiques, all accompanied by live music, performances, and street art. Check out Coeur d'Alene’s Music Walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this spring – one of the better free events in northern Idaho.

For some more outdoor activity in outdoor Idaho, discover the amazing opportunities for golf, hiking and the thrills of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Shoot 18 at the impressive Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course - home of the only floating green on the globe. Looking to bike and jog, or even walk the family dog? Trek down the North Idaho Centennial Trail – a 24-mile multiuse pathway connecting Lake Coeur d'Alene to Idaho’s border with Washington. The paved North Idaho Centennial Trail passes stunning Idaho scenery like the Spokane River, Post Falls, and Higgins Point. Set in southern Idaho, Boise and Meridian are a pair of cities ready to excite any visitor to the Gem State. See if you can catch the last days of skiing at the Bogus Basin Ski Area before spring sets in, or take the whole family to the Basque Museum and Cultural Center for a museum tour or quick browse through the library. And for a real treat, take the kids to the Zoo Boise – open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Make your way to Boise in early February for the 2012 Let's Move Boise Zoo Day – a day of discounted admission to the zoo for children and adults – or celebrate your spring holiday with the 2012 Easter Eggstravaganza. New exhibits for 2012 at the Boise Zoo include Animals of the Pampas, opening in mid May, and Butterflies in Bloom, starting a little later in the year this June.

Skip over to Meridian, just west of Boise, for some more family fun in southern Idaho. Check out the Meridian Speedway, a quarter-mile track home to some great stock car racing come April, or stroll through the Pine Street School for a little history on the area.
